Celebrate a Life Well-Lived
Join us for an evening of music, community, and remembrance as we celebrate the life of Alfie Grillo—a man deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. This event is open to the public and will take place at the Clinton Elks Club from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Bring your stories and help us honor Alfie by sharing them with friends, family, and fellow attendees.
Alfie and his brother Joe made a yearly tradition of visiting New Orleans to soak in the festivals, and in that spirit, we’re bringing in an authentic Creole food truck. Come hungry and enjoy delicious Louisiana cuisine from Crawdaddys.
Joe's band, the Gubmo Gumbas, will be joined by special musical guests Ernie White, Ron Oswanski, and Mike Beach—plus a few surprise performers. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Amyloidosis Research Consortium.
Proceeds to benefit The Amyloidosis Research Consortium
Alfie Grillo passed away in 2020 from a disease called amyloidosis. Amyloidosis (am-uh-loi-DO-sis) is a rare disease that occurs when a protein called amyloid builds up in organs. This amyloid buildup can make the organs not work properly.
